The United States urges Israel to "avoid unilateral military actions" during US-Iran talks

According to a report by Israel’s “Haaretz” on the 5th, the United States has requested Israel to “avoid taking unilateral military action” during talks between the US and Iran. The report also quoted Israeli officials as saying that Israel believes there are fundamental differences between the US and Iran, and the likelihood of reaching an agreement is “very slim.” The US and Iran are scheduled to hold nuclear talks in Muscat, Oman, on the 6th. In 2025, under Omani mediation, Iran and the US held multiple rounds of indirect negotiations, but core disagreements remain unresolved. The US demands that Iran completely abandon uranium enrichment, while Iran emphasizes its right to peaceful nuclear energy. In June last year, Israel’s raid on Iran triggered a “12-day war,” during which the US bombed key Iranian nuclear facilities. Since then, US-Iran negotiations have been suspended. (Xinhua)
