Toyota Motor Corporation has announced the official launch of its all-new RAV4 plug-in hybrid (PHEV) SUV in Japan on March 9, following the hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) model’s December 2025 release. The new PHEV features an energy-efficient Series Parallel Plug-in Hybrid System with a 2.5L engine, offering a maximum power output of 242 kW and an increased BEV driving range of 150 km. Available in two variants, the Z PHEV and GR Sport PHEV, Toyota aims for a domestic sales target of 700 units per month.
