According to Protos, the #Bitcoin Core #development team promoted anonymous contributor TheCharlatan to a Trusted Keys maintainer role on January 8, 2026. This marks the first new maintainer with commit rights to the main branch since May 2023, bringing the total number of Trusted Keys PGP maintainers with commit access to six: Marco Falke, Gloria Zhao, Ryan Ofsky, Hennadii Stepanov, Ava Chow, and TheCharlatan. ❤️
