There's been a lot of buzz around which assets will dominate the market next year. While Bitcoin and Ethereum typically grab the headlines, some analysts are making a bold call: XRP might be the real breakout trade to watch in 2026.

It's an interesting take—Bitcoin and ETH have established themselves as market leaders, sure. But the crypto space has a way of surprising everyone. XRP has been through plenty of cycles, and with various developments in the pipeline, traders are eyeing it as a potential dark horse candidate.

The reasoning? Timing, momentum, and market cycles. Sometimes the plays that don't feel obvious end up delivering the biggest gains. Whether it's regulatory clarity, adoption metrics, or simply the rotation of capital, smaller or overlooked assets can stage serious comebacks.

Of course, this isn't financial advice—market predictions are always speculative. But it's worth keeping XRP on your radar if you're thinking about positioning for what could be a pivotal year. The 2026 breakout trade might just look different from what we've come to expect.

If XRP can turn things around this time, I would believe it. But to be honest, I have to wait until regulatory clarity is truly implemented before I dare to hold a heavy position.

XRP is coming again? You keep hyping it up every time, but in the end, you're just getting caught in a trap.

XRP, this old coin, I used to get a bunch of free tokens back in the day, and now it's still lying at the floor price... By the way, can it really turn around this time, or is it just another scheme to harvest retail investors again?

Is XRP really going to turn things around this time? Honestly, it's a bit uncertain, but those coins that have been sidelined are indeed prone to sudden surges. Don't give me that same old spiel again; the dark horses are only recognized after the fact. Will 2026 be the year of XRP? I don't know, but there's no harm in holding some. Basically, it's still a gamble on luck. Instead of studying XRP, it's better to analyze Bitcoin's trend. People said the same thing last year around this time, and guess what happened? When regulations loosen, small coins do tend to take off. It all depends on whether we can wait for that day. XRP's on-chain ecosystem is still too weak; relying solely on hype can only go so far. I will do the opposite of what you all believe in, haha. If all small coins rise in this bull market, that will be the real crazy moment.

ngl xrp's been dead money for so long, anyone calling it a "dark horse" is probably just watching mempool flows wrong. the real alpha isn't the asset—it's the timing mechanics.
