A few thousand dollars wanting to turn ten times overnight? Not afraid of being laughed at — this thing simply doesn't exist.

Recently, a bunch of people have been coming with a few thousand USD asking for tips, wanting to jump straight into trading. I have to be honest: without such shortcut techniques, I only know those slow and boring methods.

Everyone who trades with me has one thing in common — they can endure. I started with just a few thousand USD back then, never expecting to get rich overnight, just gradually growing the principal until it can withstand risks.

One guy lost almost everything, down to only 3000 USD, but he still didn't give up. First, he broke the bad habit of "going all-in" on every trade.

Later, he realized: not every market level needs to be acted upon. In fact, the times when he's out of the market often last longer than when he's holding. If you can resist 90% of the temptations and only trade when the two most promising opportunities appear, you'll be better off.

Another key tip — don’t run around aimlessly. Focus on two or three familiar coins, master their K-line trends and capital flows, and that’s a thousand times more reliable than chasing every hot trend.

Ultimately, the only prerequisite for small funds to turn around is: survive. As long as your account doesn’t go to zero, there’s always a chance. Find a stable method, then repeat it — that’s much more effective than being busy every day.

That's right, that's exactly how it is.

That really hits home. Honestly, I've seen too many people get caught up in the dream of getting rich overnight and end up being exploited. Endurance is the true principle; even when bored to death, you must keep living. I totally agree with the long holding period; only those who can endure can earn. Staring fixedly at two or three coins is much better than chasing new coins every day. As long as the account is active, there is hope. I need to tattoo this in my mind. Forget those hype trends; stable compound interest is the real way to go.

It sounds like a cliché, but that's really how it is.

It's really heartfelt, but no one is listening.

well, *actually* the survivorship bias in this post is non-trivial... but tbh he's not wrong about position sizing being the actual alpha™ show me the formal verification on that 3k comeback story tho

This is the harsh truth that newbies can't accept.
