Former FTX executive Ryan Salame and Sam Bankman-Fried accused the U.S. Department of Justice of selective enforcement, claiming there is bias based on political stance rather than equal application of the law. Salame claimed he was targeted for violating Republican campaign finance regulations, while similar donations related to the Democratic Party were ignored, and he was forced to plead guilty. Bankman-Fried also echoed these claims, further reinforcing the presumption of guilt. Amid these widespread allegations, Salame is seeking a pardon from former President Donald Trump, and the FTX token FTT price has risen over 3%, approaching $0.48.
