## Samsung Restructures Leadership: New Co-CEO Framework Splits Operations
Samsung Electronics has unveiled a significant leadership restructuring, establishing a dual-CEO model to streamline decision-making across its major divisions. The tech giant named TM Roh to share the CEO title with Vice Chairman Young Hyun Jun, marking a strategic shift in how the company manages its sprawling business units.
Under this new arrangement, Roh will concentrate on consumer-facing operations as he heads the Device eXperience (DX) Division and oversees the mobile business through his Mobile eXperience (MX) role. Concurrently, Vice Chairman Jun maintains command of the memory chip operations, leading the Device Solutions Division—effectively splitting Samsung's core revenue drivers between the two executives.
The company also promoted Janghyun Yoon to President and Chief Technology Officer of the DX Division, placing him in charge of Samsung Research operations. Yoon brings extensive experience from his tenure leading Samsung Venture Investment, where he previously focused on software infrastructure, IoT ecosystems, and Tizen platform development within the MX Business unit.
Samsung appointed Hongkun Park to lead the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT), positioning him to oversee the company's cutting-edge research initiatives. This multi-level appointment signals Samsung's commitment to reinforcing innovation across both consumer electronics and semiconductor divisions while distributing leadership responsibilities more strategically.
