On December 26th, the on-chain security monitoring team discovered a serious security vulnerability in a popular wallet browser extension, which has led to the theft of funds from hundreds of users, with total losses exceeding $6 million.
The wallet's official team subsequently issued an emergency security notice confirming that version 2.68 of the browser extension has a known vulnerability. If you are using this version, you must take immediate action:
Step 1: Disable the extension immediately
Step 2: Upgrade to version 2.69 immediately
Step 3: Complete the upgrade through the official Chrome Web Store channel
The official emphasizes that upgrading is a necessary step to prevent fund risks. If you haven't upgraded yet, now is the time to act. For affected users, it is recommended to check your account status immediately and contact official support if necessary. In the Web3 world, security always comes first, and this type of vulnerability serves as a reminder for us to stay vigilant at all times.
