Having reached 2025 and reflecting on conversations with seasoned investors who have been navigating this space for over a decade, the feedback is astonishingly consistent—accounts are continuously being eroded, and mental defenses are nearly collapsing.

Whether you're trading established coins like LTC, DOGE, or chasing emerging DeFi projects, the experiences are similar: getting caught chasing a rally, buying the dip only to see prices fall further, new coin launches often at their peak. It doesn't seem to be a technical issue but rather that the market itself has blocked the channels for making profits.

What’s even more heartbreaking is the shift in people's mindset. Nowadays, when someone promotes a shitcoin, most people's first reaction is to avoid it—this period has taught everyone a lesson: these small tokens are like carefully designed "meat grinders," systematically eliminating investors who are unwilling to accept losses.

The market in 2025 feels like a harsh restructuring. It has shown everyone that the old approach of "shitcoins = high leverage tools" is completely outdated; blindly chasing narrative hot spots without understanding the project's fundamentals is being systematically punished by the market.

The underlying logic points to an inevitable evolution in the crypto market: capital, attention, and opportunities are shifting toward assets that truly have network effects, clear value support, or mature infrastructure. Most tokens are gradually losing their purely speculative nature because they no longer even provide the basics—trust and liquidity expectations.

When the underlying logic of traditional shitcoin schemes collapses, a more fundamental question emerges: if most small tokens are no longer worth gambling on, how should we reallocate our crypto assets?

Remember last year when people in the group were hyping up altcoins that could multiply a hundred times, now everyone is silent. It's really a meat grinder; the small amount of HODL I had has long turned into paper money. Big-name coins are all falling, and small coins are even worse... This wave has truly tested people's mental state. The stories from last year were all lies; now I finally understand what systemic liquidation means. So what can we play now? Mainstream coins don't have much hope either. It's not a technical issue; the market itself is saturated, and without liquidity, it's dead. After more than ten years of losses, it shows that we really need to change our strategy. The altcoin roulette game is dead; a new era has arrived. It seems only infrastructure-related projects can survive; everything else is a waste of time. The account wear and tear now is more painful than losing money—it's that sense of helplessness...

The old trick of chasing gains and killing dips really can't be played anymore; the market is just teaching people to be honest. The metaphor of the altcoin meat grinder is perfect—I am that piece of meat. Honestly, understanding the essence of good projects is much more useful than just following hot topics. The account has been bleeding continuously; a mental breakdown is only a matter of time. This round of market movement is just brainwashing, telling you what "ineffective trading" really means. It feels like Bitcoin and Ethereum are the true safe havens; everything else is just gambling. Even veterans with over ten years of experience can't withstand it, and newcomers are just throwing money in. Liquidity is gone, trust is gone, so how can we play now? Reconfigure? First, cut your losses; that's the right thing to do.

Rooftop reservation master's comments: The old tricks of chasing gains and selling losses really need to change. If this continues, bankruptcy is just a matter of time. Damn, now I understand what it means to be educated by the market—it's a bloody lesson. Altcoins are just a big pit; one step in is enough. The problem isn't technical; it's people's greed. Instead of chasing new coins, it's better to stick to mainstream ones for more stability. This market is evolving; only fools still play those old tricks. Really, now I just block anyone who promotes altcoins immediately—no discussion needed. Everyone's worn out, and it's no wonder we need to rethink our allocations. The money-making channels are blocked, which means the game rules need to change. Will we still be cutting leeks like this next year?

Haha, really, I am truly an idiot for still playing with altcoins now. After all these years, it turns out to be just a meat grinder, hilarious. The days of chasing gains and selling on dips should be over. It's already 2025, and you're still betting on new coin launches? Bitcoin and Ethereum are the true kings; everything else is an illusion. This round of cleansing has shattered all luck-based psychology. Serves you right. I favor projects with real applications; I don't pay attention to the rest. The mental breakdown isn't because of the fall, but because I realized I am just a leek (retail investor). Instead of chasing narratives, it's better to study the chain itself. Unfortunately, few people do this.

Bottoming out and still falling, I really understand this feeling... When the mindset is shattered, I just want to smash my phone Honestly, retail investors have been numb from being harvested repeatedly. Who still believes in altcoins now? The trend of capital concentrating in top projects has been obvious for a while, but executing it is really difficult DeFi narratives are recycled over and over. Now, I just close any new stories I see My account is exposed, but at least I understand what true value is... So it's not a loss

Really, brothers who have been in the game for over ten years are wearing down their accounts, which shows it's not a personal issue but a market-wide reshuffle. This meat grinder of altcoins... I experienced it last year, and now everyone asks what the fundamentals are. The era of chasing hot narratives is truly over; the market is teaching us to make choices. I really don't dare to touch small coins without trust and liquidity anymore. Is it possible that only a few top coins will survive in the end? It feels like Bitcoin and Ethereum are gradually becoming the only answers. The most hopeless feeling is bottom-fishing during a dip; I don't want to repeat this lesson. It seems we need to return to fundamentals and network effects; flashy stories no longer work. 2025 is truly a watershed; the investment logic has completely changed. The mental defense is about to collapse... the kind of explosive profit games from the past two years are gone. How should assets be allocated? It feels like there are only a few safe options left—so boring.
