Aster has released their roadmap for the first half of 2026, marking the next stage of development after what the team describes as a breakthrough year. In 2025, the platform launched several major updates, including a multi-asset margin system, mobile app, token generation event, centralized exchange listing, and the launch of a share buyback program.
Now, Aster is transitioning from proving their capabilities to building long-term network infrastructure. The team describes the next phase as driven by three engines: Infrastructure, Token Utility, and Ecosystem & Community. Each category serves as an anchor for a continuous development cycle, where new technology brings value, value strengthens collaboration, and collaboration drives further innovation.
Aster will close out 2025 with the implementation of Shield Mode, a mechanism for private high-leverage trading, alongside updates to the real-world asset group (RWA), bringing deeper and broader perpetual stock markets. The Aster Chain testnet, one of the most anticipated launches of the year, will also be opened to the community before the year ends.
The first half of 2026 promises the launch of the project’s most transformative features. In the first quarter, the Aster Layer-1 blockchain will launch, Aster Code for developers will debut, and new fiat on/off ramp integrations will be implemented.
The second quarter will bring $ASTER staking features, on-chain governance implementation, and Aster Smart Money — a feature allowing users to share or follow trading strategies in real time. Aster emphasizes that each launch reinforces the network’s core mission: to build not just a trading platform, but a living ecosystem shaped by the community.
