Abstract generation in progress

On November 1, according to DL News, the Romanian National Gambling Office (ONJN) blacklisted Polymarket on Thursday for operating without a license. ONJN classified the bets on the prediction market as “counterparty betting” rather than trading. In Romania, the gambling industry is a state monopoly, and operators must first apply to the National Gambling Office and obtain a license before conducting business. Romanian authorities stated in a declaration that “the decision to blacklist Polymarket is not related to technology, but rather to legal issues.”
