[Coin World] Brazilian solar company Thopen announced plans to use excess power for Bitcoin mining as a way to monetize surplus renewable energy and offset losses from power cuts. In addition, the company is also evaluating solutions such as building data centers and Bitcoin mining near load centers to absorb excess energy generated locally.
