Epsilon Energy's shaking things up. Big time. They've snagged Peak Companies, and boom - their reserves are through the roof. We're talking a 150% jump. And liquids? More than doubled.
This deal's a game-changer. It's opened up a whole new playground in the Powder River Basin. Oil-heavy stuff. Their premium spots for drilling? Skyrocketed by 600%. That's based on some fancy math with oil prices at $65 and gas at $4.
Jason Stabell, the big boss, seems pretty chuffed. He's going on about getting a new core area at a good price. Plus, they've scored some pros who know the basin inside out. Most of the new assets are already producing, which is nice.
Money-wise, they're playing it cool. Leverage's staying put around one times net debt to adjusted EBITDA. The Peak folks will end up owning a chunk of Epsilon - somewhere between 21% and 28%. It's not entirely clear why there's a range.
What's next? They're finishing up some wells in the PRB this year. Then, early 2026, they're drilling three new ones. The PRB's kicking in about 2,200 barrels a day, mostly oil.
Over in the Marcellus, they're gearing up for 2026 too. Seven wells planned there. And in the Permian Barnett? They're upping the ante, adding more wells to the mix.
Epsilon's kind of juggling it all - keeping dividends steady while expanding across three basins. They're looking to refinance Peak's loan and get shareholders to give the nod later this year.
It's a bold move. Epsilon's stretching its legs, getting more flexible. Looks like they're aiming to punch above their weight in the small-cap energy world. Multiple basins, diverse growth - it's an interesting play.
