Shiba Inu Team Issues Warning on Wallet Hacks

The Shiba Inu team revealed that scammers have begun reclaiming expired Discord invite links and using them to create counterfeit servers. Fraudulent platforms trick SHIB holders into “verifying” their accounts by connecting their wallets or allowing harmful dApps

If users connect their wallets, they may lose SHIB tokens and other digital assets. Reports show that attackers can quickly drain entire balances in just a few minutes.

Community watch account Shibarium Trustwatch also cautioned that these scams often look realistic It copies the official branding and communication style of SHIB The team stressed that the project’s official website (shib.io) should be the source of all authentic Shiba Inu links. They also urged users never to rush into wallet connections or approve transactions from unverified Discord links.

Concerns in the community intensified after an X user claimed their Shiba Inu: Deployer 1 wallet had been compromised. The user warned that recent token launches from the address were unauthorized.

Shiba Inu developer Kaal Dhairya quickly addressed the matter. He explained that no ecosystems are linked to the hacked wallet. Kaal warned that any future tokens from this address could be scams and should be avoided.

Don't trust that wallet launching anything. No critical systems are tied to it, except the known leash issue with the old dev woof. It can and will be used to launch new tokens in the future, as has been happening, but they could be scams.

Shibarium Upgrade and Decentralization Push

Despite the security challenges, Shiba Inu is consistently building on its technology. The team recently announced an update to its Shibarium developer hub. This update gives clear instructions on how to operate validator nodes and build on the Ethereum Layer-2 network.

The goal is to increase decentralization and allow more developers to get involved. This could make the project stronger and more resilient.

In addition, the Shiba Inu ecosystem is preparing for a governance change. Structured elections will soon appoint a lead visionary and DAO council members to oversee its multi-billion-dollar token economy. This change is a step toward becoming a fully decentralized “digital network state.”

However, not everyone is happy with the recent developments. As elections approach, some SHIB holders have called for a new leader. They feel that project lead Shytoshi Kusama has not been transparent or responsive enough

WoofSwap and other groups have questioned Kusama’s overall strategy. They want a leader who communicates better and focuses more on the community..

For now, the security of their assets is the top concern for SHIB holders. The safest approach for the community remains to verify all links through official channels before taking action.
