On May 27, according to The Block, Standard Chartered predicted that Solana would reach $500 in 2029, but it may lag behind Ethereum in the short term. Geoffrey Kendrick, the bank's head of global digital asset research, pointed out that Solana's current over-reliance on memecoin transactions is not a sustainable growth driver. Although Solana has advantages in terms of low fees and high throughput, it can take 2-3 years for new use cases to develop. Standard Chartered expects the SOL price to reach $275 by the end of 2025 and the ETH/SOL ratio to rise to $17 by the end of 2027. The bank also predicts that bitcoin will reach $200,000 by the end of 2025 and $500,000 in 2028, and the stablecoin market will reach $2 trillion by the end of 2028.
