Trump signs resolution to abolish encryption tax rules

According to the Gate.io News bot, TheBlock reported that U.S. President Trump signed a resolution to abolish encryption tax rules. This rule was established by the Biden administration at the end of its term, requiring "accomplice brokers" to collect and report user transaction data to the IRS, while also providing users with a 1099 form for reporting non-employment income.

The resolution for repeal was proposed by Republican lawmakers Ted Cruz and Mike Carey and has been passed by both houses of Congress. The U.S. Department of the Treasury previously clarified that the rule applies to front-end service providers that interact directly with users and operate access to the main websites of decentralized protocols, rather than the protocols themselves.
