Wu learned that the public chain Zilliqa discovered a security vulnerability in X-Bridge on February 6, and attackers exploited a vulnerability in the newly deployed Token management contract to mint 531 Zilliqa version of ETH (zETH) and 2.2133 Zilliqa version of BNB (zBNB), and partially cross-chain assets through X-Bridge to Ethereum and BSC. Zilliqa has suspended bridge services, notified Switcheo to disable zETH transactions on ZilSwap, and warned users to avoid trading affected assets. The official will deprecate the original zETH and deploy a new Token, retaining only legitimate Holdings before February 18, with the specific timing to be determined.
