Cryptocurrencies can upgrade to quantum-resistant algorithms to counteract the impact of quantum computing

An article on the X platform states that cryptocurrencies only need to upgrade to post-quantum (quantum-resistant) algorithms to address the effects of quantum computing, and there is no need to panic.
In practical implementation, upgrades in decentralized environments face difficulties, and the choice of algorithms may trigger debates and lead to forks. Some projects that have ceased development may not undergo upgrades, which helps to clean up such projects. In the short term, new code may introduce vulnerabilities or security issues. Users who store their cryptocurrencies locally should migrate their assets to a new wallet.
Regarding Satoshi's Bitcoin holdings, moving assets indicates that they are still active; if they are not moved within a certain period, the related addresses should be locked or destroyed to prevent hacking. Fundamentally, encryption is easier to break than to encrypt, and more powerful computing capabilities have positive implications. Cryptocurrencies will continue to exist even after the era of quantum computing.
