巴基斯坦加密监管负责人：加密货币是大众的阶梯，而非奢侈品

ChainCatcher 消息，据 CoinDesk 报道，巴基斯坦虚拟资产监管局（PVARA）主席 Bilal Bin Saqib 表示，加密货币和区块链对巴基斯坦而言不是奢侈品，而是大众的阶梯。Bin Saqib 在香港共识大会上透露，巴基斯坦拥有全球第三大零售加密市场，超过德国和日本。巴基斯坦约有 4000 万公民已在无监管情况下交易数字资产，全国 2.5 亿人口中 70% 年龄在 30 岁以下，且有超过 1 亿无银行账户的公民缺乏储蓄和投资工具。

关于去年宣布的比特币战略储备计划，Bin Saqib 表示正在将国家持有的数字资产纳入正式的国家控制托管框架，并已确定剩余电力地点用于挖矿，正评估经济影响并与全球矿工和 AI 计算运营商接洽，将比特币挖矿和 AI 数据中心作为将未使用能源转化为国家生产力的机制。
