The term of Fed Chairman Powell will end in May 2026, and he has stated that he will not resign voluntarily.

On April 19, according to Reuters, Powell stated that U.S. law does not allow the president to remove him from office, and even if Trump requests it, he will not resign voluntarily and plans to serve his full term, continuing as Chairman of the Federal Reserve until May 2026. Furthermore, Powell's term as a member of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors will last until January 2028. He also mentioned this week that he believes the case currently being heard by the U.S. Supreme Court is unlikely to apply to the Federal Reserve.
