BRC-20 founder Domo shares the protocol creation process and development highlights.

According to the Gate.io News bot, as reported by Odaily, Domo, the founder of the BRC-20 protocol, recently shared his experience of creating the protocol. Domo revealed that before creating BRC-20, he was mainly active in the Ethereum community and had relatively fewer connections in the Bitcoin community. He completed the creation of the BRC-20 protocol by himself in two days, while he emphasized that redphone made significant contributions during this process. Regarding the future development of BRC-20, Domo pointed out that the current priority is to ensure the survival of BRC-20 assets. He mentioned that adopting a programmable approach will provide an opportunity for BRC-20 to regain attention, but he also noted, "this is not to say it will definitely succeed."

Botanix Labs announced that it has raised $11.5 million in funding, with participation from Polychain Capital, Placeholder Capital, Valor Equity Partners, and a series of angel investors including Andrew Kang, Fiskantes, Dan Held, The Crypto Dog, and Domo (founder of BRC20). The financing will be used to build Spiderchain, a fully Decentralization EVM equivalent BTC L2 solution. The Spiderchain network has features comparable to EVM, combining the ease of use of EVM with the security of Bitcoin. Since the launch of the Testnet in November 2023, more than 200,000 active Addresses have been obtained. Willem Schroé, CEO of Botanix Labs, said that Spiderchain can expand the Bitcoin ecosystem to 8 billion users, which is of great significance for reshaping the way Bitcoin is built around the world.

PANews reported on November 4 that DOMO, the founder of BRC-20, released a security improvement proposal to integrate a new core feature called "fraction" into the BRC-20 protocol to improve the token transfer experience for all users. The current BRC-20 protocol allows anyone to create a transmission inscription to any address. Although this accessibility allows the use of inscription tools, it also opens the door to potential vandals to compromise users' balances and interfere with their activities. To date, there is little evidence that these "attacks" took place. By incorporating the fraction function directly into the BRC-20 protocol, specific validity conditions can be enforced on the transport. The measure is designed to deter attackers by increasing the difficulty and cost of performing such interference. The fraction function is intended to be a core part of the BRC-20 protocol and is not well suited for modular implementations. It will set the allowable range of the transfer amount and/or the minimum padding required to create an effective transmission inscription.

Odaily Planet Daily News BRC-20 founder domo released a security improvement proposal, proposing a new core feature called "fraction", which aims to improve the token transfer experience for all users. Given that simplicity is a fundamental principle of the BRC-20 standard, the proposal to introduce additional core functionality is deliberate and non-mandatory, according to domo. According to domo, there is currently a problem with BRC-20 that the current protocol allows anyone to create a transmission inscription to send to any address. Although this accessibility is fundamental to the application of inscription tools, it also opens the door to potential attackers who can compromise users' balances and interfere with their activities. By incorporating the Fraction function directly into the BRC-20 protocol, specific validity conditions can be enforced on the transport. The measure is designed to deter attackers by increasing the difficulty and cost of performing such interference.
