BlockBeats 消息，3 月 25 日，以太坊基金会于周二发布了一份新路线图，概述开发团队如何为量子计算的威胁做准备。基金会量子团队预计，网络的一系列初步升级可在 2029 年前完成，主要涉及四次关键硬分叉。
基金会表示，量子计算最终将破解保护所有数字系统中所有权、认证和共识的公钥密码学，但预计这一威胁不会立即到来。基金会量子团队的研究人员预计，具有密码学相关能力的量子计算还需 8 至 12 年才会出现。
四次硬分叉中，「I」分叉将为网络验证者提供量子安全公钥，「J」分叉将降低验证量子安全签名的 Gas 费用，这两项升级已被纳入今年晚些时候预计进行的 Hegota 分叉的考虑范围。「L」分叉将网络状态表达压缩为零知识证明，「M」分叉则将保护 Layer 2 网络免受量子威胁。
研究人员表示，Layer 1 协议升级可在 2029 年前完成，完整的执行层迁移则需要在此之后额外数年时间。Ethereum 基金会已于今年 1 月成立专门的量子团队，开发者测试网已于 3 月开始测试部分量子功能。
