Theo Leon Waidmann, Trưởng bộ phận Nghiên cứu tại Onchain Foundation, năm 2025 đánh dấu sự chuyển dịch rõ rệt khi các nhà phát triển tập trung xây dựng sản phẩm có khả năng mở rộng thay vì đầu cơ. Dù vậy, một số ý kiến cho rằng số lượng triển khai chưa phản ánh đầy đủ chất lượng, bởi không ít hợp đồng có thể bị bỏ hoang.
Về stablecoin, Ethereum tiếp tục khẳng định vai trò lớp thanh toán cốt lõi cho tổ chức, trong khi Tron mạnh về thanh toán bán lẻ và Solana tăng trưởng nhanh về khối lượng giao dịch on-chain.
