Cartesi aims to build a general operating system for decentralized applications to provide off chain computing services in Linux environment without affecting security and decentralization. Thus, cartesi hopes to help build decentralized applications with stronger performance, easy development, economy and universality, provide developers with familiar and easy-to-use development tools, and bring better user experience to the public. Cartesi (CTSI) is a two-tier infrastructure designed to enable complex and intensive computing to run in a linux environment outside the blockchain without affecting decentralization and security. Developers can work in a familiar environment without artificial restrictions, and can access the development tools they are familiar with. DAPP can temporarily store data on the cartesi side chain, which is dominated by the proof of stack (POS) consensus algorithm without continuous communication with the underlying blockchain.
