## Q&A from Gate.io
### Q1: What's Oceanland, can you introduce Oceanland to us?

**Umit**: Oceanland is a Play-to-Earn game that aims to bring together the gaming industry and the world of cryptoeconomics. We are attempting to combine DeFi, NFTs, and crypto assets.

Oceanland mainly is the tale of a small child who pursues his grandfather's ambitions. He's searching for an island where a long-gone civilization once flourished. He embarks on a cruise after discovering his late granddad's diaries, but a storm strikes and strands him alone on an island. I'll leave the rest to our investors so as not to ruin the surprise.
Oceanland's game mechanics are centered on four main resources. These are: water as a source of life, food as a source of energy, wood as a means of shelter, and metal as a material for technologically advanced products. We have a total of sixteen tools as of stage one, with four tools in each category and lots of utility NFTs.

In addition to being a play-to-earn game, Oceanland is also a decentralized finance platform where we provide a variety of crypto assets like farming, staking, and trading. Additionally, we offer a marketplace where gamers can trade their NFTs.

### Q2: How can someone start playing Oceanland?

**Umit**: Well, previously players had to own at least one NFT tool. However, we deemed this challenging and thus, introduced free-to-play mode. It may look easy to play NFT games for the play-to-earn gamers, but others find it hard to even start playing since it involves money transferring, purchasing tokens, sending it over to Metamask, swapping, crafting, etc.

Not anymore! Now, any player can register Oceanland by his email and start playing instantly. If the player enjoys the game, he can purchase a $OLAND token whenever he wants, and can even bind his email and Metamask wallet.

If a player wants to play Oceanland, he can either craft the NFT tool he wants or buy the NFT listed in our own Marketplace.

### Q3: What's the difference between Oceanland and other play-to-earn games? What's your key abilities?

**Umit**: As I previously mentioned, Oceanland is not only a P2E game but also a platform for decentralized finance. Let me delve a little deeper.
 
As you are all aware, while P2E gamers and crypto token fans have some things in common, they also approach their favorite method of making money differently. As a result, we want to appeal to traders, investors, and gamers.

We are providing our own DeFi platform in which you can swap tokens, stake our native token OLAND, and farm OLAND together with our partner tokens. 
 
Aside from that, we offer a very robust and long-lasting game economy. We put a lot of effort into the game economy, so I can say with confidence that that was our top priority. We took measures to stop inflation as well as sudden pricing changes.

Finally, we have solid partnerships, which greatly enhances our power. 
In light of all these factors, I can affirm that we stand out from the majority of the straightforward play-to-earn games.

### Q4: Why should an investor might invest on OLAND token?

**Umit**: I would like to underline the following points:
 
1) Our tokenomics comes first. If you look at our tokenomics, it's clear that we put a lot of effort into it. The team's vesting period is 7 years. That indicates that the team will support the project for at least 7 years.Please correct me if I’m wrong, I've never seen such a case before. Most of the other projects only use 12 or possibly 24 months of vesting for their teams.

2) We have strong and reliable partners. We have three pools ready on our DeFi platform, and this is only the beginning. There will be a lot more farm pools in the future. We strongly believe we can attract partner token holders, and provide a huge benefit to OLAND tokenomy.

3) Our robust gaming economy empowers us. Although the DeFi platform greatly enhances the value of $OLAND token, it's important to remember that the game itself provides the majority of the token's strength as we are essentially a play to earn platform. We have always kept our word and done as we said we would on the roadmap. We are currently designing version 2 and will eventually add more burning mechanisms into the game.

4) The last one is, we’re going to burn our own 96M $OLAND tokens on Dec 7th to display that we’re always with our investors and supporters. The amount of tokens that are going to be burnt equals to 10% of the total $OLAND supply.

### Q5: What are your future plans regarding Oceanland and OLAND?

**Umit**: In the short-term, we’ll announce the mobile version of the Oceanland game v1. We’ve developed some features our players asked for. We’ll announce those features.

We also plan to add mini-games to Oceanland v1. Aside from that, we’re developing v2, which will be a major update with lots of features and fun elements. 

I would like to point out that we are designing version 2 as a completely new game. It will be more visual and more fun. In this way, we aim to reach much wider Play2Earn players. Meanwhile, the currently active Version 1 will continue to be developed and generate the resource token for the game. Version 2, on the other hand, will take place in the same universe and will use the resources generated in the v1. In this way, we aim to make the resource productions in version 1 more valuable.

In summary, we want to combine a fun-to-play game with the blockchain world, and we consider this a very important development that will excite all our players and investors.

Other than the v2,  we are going to burn 96M $OLAND tokens (%10 of the total supply) on Dec 7th. 

We’ll also provide new staking options and features in the near future.
