Just looked at the latest XRP wallet distribution data and honestly, that 12,350 XRP average figure is pretty misleading if you take it at face value. The thing is, how many xrp wallets are there actually? Latest numbers show around 7.76 million addresses holding XRP, but the concentration at the top is wild.

So here's what caught my attention: only 5 wallets are sitting on 1+ billion XRP each, and another 22 accounts control between 500M-1B. That's just 27 wallets holding over 19 billion tokens combined. Then you've got 58 more accounts with 100M-500M each. These whales are basically skewing that average way up.

But when you look at the actual majority of holders? Over 3.7 million wallets are holding less than 500 XRP. More than 1.3 million accounts have under 20 XRP. That's the reality for most people, not the 12K average everyone's talking about.

The median is probably closer to a few hundred XRP based on where the midpoint falls. So yeah, if you're trying to understand what typical XRP holders actually own, the median tells a completely different story than the average. This is why understanding how many xrp wallets exist at each level matters more than just looking at one number.
