Polymarket陷种族歧视风波，官方沉默引众怒

周二，本应是预测市场平台Polymarket的庆祝日——该公司正式获准在美国运营。然而，这一里程碑时刻却被其社交媒体账号发布的种族歧视言论彻底掩盖，引发轩然大波。

争议起源于Polymarket旗下账号@PolymarketTrade发布的一条消息，其中用“Jeets”等贬义词汇指代南亚裔及尼日利亚用户，并宣称将撤销其平台徽章。据悉，“Jeets”是对印度裔等南亚人群的侮辱性称呼。该帖虽已删除，但已在社交媒体X平台引发强烈反弹。

竞争对手预测平台Kalshi的用户成为批评主力。用户“Wojak Codes”直言：“Polymarket想在印度市场赚钱，却在官方账号上公然侮辱印度人。若不道歉，此事必须升级处理。”众多批评者谴责该言论“卑鄙无耻”、“不可饶恕”，并指出此类行为将阻碍加密货币吸引新用户。

尽管有少数支持者试图辩解，称“jeet并非侮辱性词汇”，并以Polymarket赞助印度裔动画角色为例否认种族歧视，但此类声音势单力薄。Bento.fun创始人Abhitej Singh指出，Polymarket本是一家“百年一遇”的优秀企业，但近期社交媒体表现已背离其初心，陷入“煽动仇恨与网络暴力”的泥潭。

截至目前，Polymarket争议账号及其首席执行官Shayne Coplan均未就此事件公开道歉。这场舆论风暴不仅玷污了企业的里程碑时刻，更对其品牌形象与用户信任造成了深远伤害。值得一提的是，Polymarket正在寻求以高达120亿美元的超高估值进行新一轮融资，在此时陷入种族歧视的漩涡无疑会带来不好的影响。（Cryptonews）
