The crypto assets market seems to be experiencing a déjà vu. Last August, Powell hinted at a possible interest rate cut during the Jackson Hole meeting, and subsequently, Bitcoin ended its fluctuations and began to rise, while altcoins were hesitant. It wasn't until the release of the US Non-farm Payrolls (NFP) that the bull run actually kicked off.
This year, we have seen a similar pattern, but the leading role has changed. Powell once again broke the norm at the Jackson Hole meeting, sending dovish signals. However, unlike last year, this year's main character seems to have become Ethereum (ETH).
Looking back at last year, Bitcoin continued to pump after the Jackson Hole meeting, with no weekly pullbacks, ultimately doubling by the end of the year, reaching the milestone of one hundred thousand dollars. So, can Ethereum replicate Bitcoin's success from last year this year?
Although the possibility of Bitcoin creating miracles in this round is low, Ethereum may become the market focus. As for other alts, their performance and timing remain unknown.
In this rapidly changing Crypto Assets market, investors need to closely monitor market trends, especially the performance of Ethereum. At the same time, one should also be wary of the misleading implications that historical similarities may bring. Each period of the market has its uniqueness, and blindly following past patterns may pose risks.
Overall, although the market patterns seem similar, the change of the main players may lead to different outcomes. Investors should remain vigilant, pay attention to market changes, and make informed decisions based on real-time data.
