英国5月零售额下降2.7%，为2023年以来最大跌幅

Gate News bot 消息，据彭博社报道，英国零售额遭遇2023年以来最大跌幅，消费者支出急剧逆转，暗示第二季度经济可能陷入困境。

英国国家统计局周五表示，5月份线上和线下商品销售额下降2.7%，远超经济学家预期的0.5%。

尽管2025年伊始，英国零售业表现良好，但受良好天气和实际工资上涨推动的销售激增势头却戛然而止。5月份的下跌彻底扭转了年初以来的涨势。

零售业疲软将加剧英国经济在2025年初强劲增长后，在第二季度面临的阻力。尽管第一季度国内生产总值(GDP)增长了0.7%，但4月份经济出现萎缩，预测人士预计第二季度经济将大幅放缓。

数据显示零售额降幅超过预期，英镑缩减涨幅，当日上涨0.1%，至1.3484美元。

这给工党政府带来了麻烦，因为它需要提高英国疲软的经济增长率，以保持其支出承诺的正常履行。政府财政计划中的一个漏洞，可能会导致财政大臣雷切尔·里夫斯(Rachel Reeves)在预计于11月发布的下一轮预算案中进一步加税。

英国国家统计局(ONS)表示，5月份的下降是由于食品销售额暴跌5%，零售业全面疲软。家庭用品商店销售额暴跌2.5%，服装和鞋类销售额暴跌1.8%。

会计师事务所 MHA 的消费者业务主管 Rajeev Shaunak 表示：“由于持续的通胀价格压力、国际贸易中断以及谨慎的消费者情绪，增长势头正在放缓。”
