Katana — blockchain được Polygon Labs ươm mầm — vừa công bố thương vụ mua lại IDEX, một trong những sàn giao dịch phi tập trung (DEX) ra đời sớm nhất trong ngành, đồng thời chính thức ra mắt Katana Perps, nền tảng giao dịch hợp đồng vĩnh cửu (perpetual futures) tích hợp cả spot và derivatives trên cùng một blockchain.
IDEX được thành lập năm 2017, từng là DEX hàng đầu trên Ethereum về khối lượng giao dịch và số lượng giao dịch trong giai đoạn đến năm 2019. Nền tảng này sở hữu cơ chế khớp lệnh hybrid kết hợp thanh toán on-chain — công nghệ nay được tích hợp trực tiếp vào Katana Perps. Sàn mới đã đi vào hoạt động với giao dịch đòn bẩy và thanh khoản được hỗ trợ bởi các market maker gồm GSR, Selini Capital và Auros.
Đây là thương vụ lớn đầu tiên dưới thời CEO Matthew Fisher — người từng làm việc tại Polygon Labs, Diem Association và Buttonwood. Ông Fisher cho biết mục tiêu rõ ràng là “kiểm soát nhiều hơn chuỗi giao dịch và doanh thu gắn liền với nó”, trong bối cảnh thị trường derivatives on-chain đang bùng nổ mạnh mẽ với khối lượng giao dịch hợp đồng vĩnh cửu phi tập trung đạt 739 tỷ USD chỉ trong tháng 1/2026.
CEO Polygon Labs Marc Boiron đánh giá đây là “giai đoạn tiếp theo” của dự án, khẳng định Katana đang định vị mình không chỉ là một Layer-2 thông thường mà là nơi diễn ra làn sóng bùng nổ derivatives on-chain tiếp theo.
