Recently, there was a project that needed to conduct an Airdrop for cross-chain transactions, and then it mentioned TRON cross-chain, with a bit of complaint, haha, because sometimes when transferring USDT to ETH, it takes extra money and a long wait before you can use it;
After transferring money, I often find that I've lost dozens. It's hard to find a good tool; either it's so slow that it drives you crazy, or the fees are expensive, and I'm also worried about security.
There are actually quite a few USDT and USDC in TRON, but transferring money is too troublesome, and I often miss opportunities on other chains. Just this week, I saw that @debridge has connected with TRON, which is useful!
I tried it out and felt it was not bad, and I also checked its reserve money and points rules. Just today, I want to share with everyone what troubles this integration can solve and why using it for cross-chain transactions is more worry-free now!
1: Let's talk about how deBridge is different from ordinary cross-chain bridges. The core logic is different, making it more user-friendly.
Many people have the impression that using a cross-chain bridge means "you have to lock up money as a reserve to make transfers"—this method has obvious issues: if the reserve is insufficient, there will be a loss on the price difference; if too much is locked, there are security concerns, and there may also be additional unlocking required for the assets received.
deBridge adopts another model called "0-TVL cross-chain technology". To put it simply: it's not that there's no value, but rather that it doesn't require locking reserves like traditional bridges. It relies on a "Decentralized Liquidity Network (DLN)" to match transfer demands across different chains without needing intermediary funds as a backing.
The actual benefits are clear:
First, there is basically no price difference; the amount transferred is the amount received.
Secondly, the transaction fee is low, 4-8 basis points (transferring 10,000 USDT costs about 4-8 USD);
Thirdly, the deposit is fast, similar to transferring coins on the exchange.
Security and scalability are also key: operating for over 3 years without any security incidents, with a total cross-chain settlement exceeding 10 billion USD, a daily maximum processing of 100 million USD, and over 1 million users (the underlying infrastructure is solid); it is also the official regulatory bridge for BNB Chain, with a high proportion of cross-chain activity on Solana, now supporting over 30 mainstream public chains.
In simple terms: it is not a new tool, but a mature protocol that has withstood high traffic and security tests. Now, connecting to TRON means providing TRON users with an additional cross-chain path to other mainstream chains, reducing some hassles.
II: The Advantages of TRON Itself
TRON itself has over 320 million accounts, with a total of more than 1.1 billion transactions, especially with a strong volume of stablecoins. However, previously, the intention to leverage these advantages on other chains was always hindered by the cross-chain step. Now, deBridge has filled this gap, providing three benefits that can solve our practical issues. Let me briefly explain:
1) Transferring stablecoins no longer requires "extra steps"; you can use them directly upon receipt.
This is really practical. In the past, when transferring USDT from TRON to another chain, what I often received was a "special wrapped version" (for example, when transferring to ETH, I would get the "wrapped money" specifically corresponding to TRON USDT). Not only did I have to spend extra on transaction fees, but I also had to wait for it to be unlocked before I could use it. Sometimes I would forget to handle it, making it impossible to participate in DeFi.
But with deBridge, it's simple: transferring USDT from TRON to ETH will result in receiving USDT that everyone uses on ETH, and transferring to Solana will give you USDT that can be used directly on Solana. Just store it in your wallet and you can start operating in DeFi pools without taking any extra detours, saving a lot of time and hassle.
2) The money in hand can be flexibly transferred to other chains, so as not to miss out on profit opportunities.
We, TRON users, all understand the opportunity to "make a profit on the price difference" — for example, USDT stored here on TRON has low interest, and we want to transfer it to ETH to lend and earn more.
Or a new DeFi project has emerged on Solana, and I want to participate early. But in the past, cross-chain was too slow; by the time the money was transferred over, the interest rate difference might have disappeared, and the good opportunity of the new project would have ended.
deBridge's speed just solves this problem: it actually took just over 3 minutes to transfer from TRON to Solana, which is much faster than other cross-chain tools we used before. This not only allows our users to seize opportunities in a timely manner but also benefits the entire TRON ecosystem. Stablecoins can quickly flow to other chains, essentially giving this money a "new outlet," which can attract more external funds over the long term.
3) With cross-chain, you don't have to worry about "losing money"; it's safe and secure, and you can check.
The biggest concern with cross-chain is "money issues". deBridge has done a solid job in this regard, and all situations can be checked.
First, there is a reserve of 30 million US dollars: the fees collected by the platform (which have already exceeded 25 million US dollars, considered to be a lot in the cross-chain space) are all used for asset repurchase and planning, and about 5 million US dollars have been used to repurchase DBR, which is equivalent to providing us with a "safety cushion". The profits will not be embezzled by the team, but will instead help make DBR more valuable.
Second, all records can be checked: whether it is transaction records or the composition of reserve funds, in deBridge's data browser ("Where Did the Money Go", making you feel more at ease.
Three: TRON users use deBridge, where security and speed are the basic experiences, and the most practical feature is its "points program".
In simple terms: when carrying out cross-chain tasks, you can earn some points along the way, which can later be exchanged for $DBR Airdrop, turning cross-chain operations into an opportunity to accumulate benefits.
I broke down the rules into three easy-to-understand points and explained them clearly to everyone:
1. How to earn points? The threshold is low, just use it and you will have them.
1) Pay a fee of 1 USD to receive 100 points, the calculation method is very clear;
2) No restrictions on usage channels: Whether it is deBridge's own APP or its partner platforms (such as Jupiter, Solflare), as long as you use deBridge's channel for cross-chain, the points will be credited automatically without any extra operations;
3) No complicated requirements: Normally cross-chain, you can accumulate without realizing it, it's not troublesome.
2. How can I earn more? Two "bonus methods" to accumulate more points.
If you want to accumulate more points, you can use these two methods, which are not complicated to operate:
Method 1: The longer you use it and the earlier you start, the higher the points multiplier (existing users have an additional advantage)
1) Benefits for old users: Users who used deBridge in 2022-2023 can earn 3 times the points for previous transactions, and by continuing to use it now, they can also stack an additional 1.5 times;
2) New users also have base points: Users who just started will have at least 1x base points, and if they use the Solflare wallet for cross-chain (our TRON users can also try multi-chain operations, it's not difficult), they can get an additional 1.1x.
3) The multiplier can be stacked: for example, a Tier 2 user using Solflare can get 1.3 + 1.1 = 2.4 times the points, allowing them to earn more points with the same transaction fee.
Method 2: Invite friends to use it and earn commissions (continuous income after sharing)
1) Simple operation: Generate a dedicated link in the app, and friends can cross-chain through this link;
2) Continuous earnings: If your friend earns 1000 points, you can get 250, and every time your friend does a cross-chain transaction afterwards, you will also receive a share;
3) No need to worry too much: Just share a little without extra effort, and you can gradually accumulate points later.
3. What is the use of points? In the short term, they can be used for airdrops, and in the long term, they grant participation rights.
deBridge has stated: The first season points program will allocate 600 million $DBR for Airdrop, with two core values:
1) Short term: The number of airdrops is linked to points, early accumulation of points has advantages.
The more points you have, the higher your ranking (the points panel can be viewed in real-time, no need to guess), the more $DBR you can exchange.
There's no need to wait for the exchange rate to be announced; it's safer to accumulate points first. Acting early can give you an advantage.
2) Long-term: Can participate in ecological decision-making, not just users.
In the $DBR token economy, 20% of the share is allocated to community users, not exclusively to the platform;
In the future, points are likely to be used for voting on rules (such as how the platform operates to be more convenient for users). Accumulating points not only earns short-term profits but also provides a voice in the ecosystem, with opinions being taken into consideration.
Final reminder: It's best to use it steadily, don't try to "boost points".
The authorities are strict in checking accounts that "invite themselves" or "use bots to brush transactions". Accounts found doing this will be banned, so don't be clever and end up suffering; by using normal cross-chain methods and being diligent, you can safely earn the points and $DBR you deserve.
Four: TRON users' practical operation: Simple 3 steps, cross-chain + earn points to complete.
Actually, the operation is very simple, no need to remember complicated steps, just follow along:
1) Preparation: Use a wallet that supports TRON (such as Trust Wallet, MetaMask with TRON chain), make sure there is USDT/USDC in the wallet, and leave a little TRX for Gas;
2) Initiate cross-chain: Open the deBridge app (select "TRON" as the source chain, choose the target chain (such as ETH), input the amount, confirm the fee and arrival time, then click confirm.
3) Check points: After the funds are credited, go to the points panel (
I completed it in less than 5 minutes for the first time; the page is relatively simple and there was no lag, making it easy for beginners to get started.
Having played with cross-chain for so long, I think good tools should be "easy to use, without adding trouble". This time, deBridge connecting with TRON is not about how advanced the technology is, but it truly solves our problems: no hassle, the amount transferred is exactly what arrives without price differences, transaction fees are reduced, and we can earn $DBR points. We can check where the money goes and whether it's safe.
If you often transfer stablecoins from TRON to other chains, you should really give it a try. Cross-chain is originally meant to save hassle and time, and now there's an additional profit, quite nice.
Final reminder: Make sure to verify the address and chain for cross-chain transactions. Although deBridge is stable, it's better to be cautious. I hope this helps friends in TRON. Let's avoid pitfalls in cross-chain and also earn some $DBR.
