Recently, there has been a clear divergence trend in the stock market. Institutional investors net sold $8.3 billion, the second-highest in history, while hedge funds and retail investors actively bought in, increasing their holdings by $1.2 billion and $1.0 billion respectively. Although fund inflows into ETFs reached $2.2 billion, individual stocks continued to experience persistent outflows, totaling $52.0 billion. Overall, the reduction in holdings by institutional investors has provided flexible investors with low-cost buying opportunities, and market conditions are becoming increasingly complex.
