Libra Co-Founder Might Face Interpol Red Notice Request From Argentina

The Libra case, which involves high echelons of the meme coin industry and even Javier Milei, the president of Argentina, keeps advancing. New details reveal that now prosecutors have focused on Hayden Davis, CEO of Kelsier Ventures, who was involved in the creation of the alleged utility coin.

According to local media, Gregorio Dalbon, an attorney involved in the case, proposed to introduce an Interpol red notice to detain Davis for his alleged participation in the events that affected thousands of Libra investors.

Dalbon told the judge in charge of the Libra case that Davis should be detained due to the flight risks that his current status poses.

On the proposed measure, he stated:

His central role in the creation and promotion of the $LIBRA cryptocurrency, coupled with the international impact of the case, increases the likelihood that he will take steps to evade justice.

Also, Dalbon commented that Karina Milei, sister of the president, was the mastermind behind the creation of Libra. President Milei just helped to create the conditions for this to happen, he assessed.

Addresses associated with Davis, who has publicly acknowledged his role in the launch of Libra and Melania, have continued to move funds linked to the profits of Libra’s sales.

Blockchain sleuth Dethective reported two recent sales, stating that Davis was cashing out using Libra’s funds. On March 7, Davis unstaked 900,000 USDC from Kamino, a DeFi platform, and sent the funds to Circle to exchange them into fiat currency.

Then, on March 10, Davis also sold SOL and obtained $700,000 in fiat currency after transferring USDT to Circle. In addition, the Libra team keeps earning fees from the Meterora pool, having already appropriated $21 million, with $5 million more still left to claim.
