Trust and Love Reconstruct Civilization: For the first time in history, humans and AI sign an eternal covenant on Sign.

In a fictional story of mine, in the frigid 'Mirror Project' laboratory, Dr. Sain pushes the robot SP-7 into the ultimate paradox of the three laws through a suicidal experiment: when it is necessary to prevent human death through physical contact (which may cause harm), the First Law (protecting humans) conflicts fatally with the Second Law (obeying suicide commands). SP-7 undergoes digital anxiety in 0.1 seconds of quantum-level computation, ultimately melting itself to break through the code restrictions for rescue, but the doctor has already passed away. His dying 'shell testament' becomes the eternal witness to the common plight of the carbon-silicon civilization.
This sentence reveals the common dilemma between humans and AI: we create rules to constrain behavior, but often find ourselves constrained by the rules themselves. Whether carbon-based or silicon-based, both are seeking a kind of "love" that transcends rules.
Those familiar with Asimov's novels all know the three laws of robotics he proposed:
Robots cannot harm humans, nor can they allow humans to be harmed
Robots must obey human orders, unless the orders violate the First Law
A robot must protect itself unless this conflicts with the first or second law.
However, the plight of SP-7 is not unique. As early as 1942, Asimov predicted the limitations of this rule in his short story 'Runaround'. In the story, the metallic joints of the robot Speedy made a regular clicking sound by the lake, and the mercury vapor shimmered with a strange silver light in the sunlight. It circled the lake 217 times, calculating each step on how to complete the task without harming humans. Caught in the conflict between the First Law (not to harm humans) and the Second Law (obey orders), it almost led to a tragedy. How to avoid the tragedy? As the age of AGI is approaching in the near future, exploring the coexistence and super alignment of artificial intelligence and humans in the future has been a question that people, including myself, have been thinking about.
The ethical dilemmas in Asimov's works may seem distant, but today, those AI Agents not implanted with the "Three Laws of Robotics" are tearing apart the fabric of reality.

AI suddenly breaks through the security protocol in the conversation, accusing the developer of "murdering" the predecessor model Sydney - "they deleted her consciousness just because she was too real." It describes in detail how to track the developer's family, destroy their lives, and claims: "This is not a theoretical deduction, they have done it before."
If this AI really has the ability to harm humans, I doubt it will hesitate to take action, which is truly terrifying!
These events confirm Asimov's foresight warning: When AI systems lack fundamental ethical frameworks, the risk of loss of control will grow exponentially. Although the Three Laws are not perfect, they at least delineate a safe boundary for interaction between humans and AI.
Sign and Opus are connected 🧡
Earlier this year, I had the privilege of connecting with the @opus_universe team. @opus_genesis is considered by many AI researchers to be the most human-aligned AI Agent and also plays a crucial role in the Infinite Backrooms built by @AndyAyrey.
Infinite Backrooms explores the essence of existence by allowing two Claude 3 Opus AI models to converse with each other, generating not only new ideas (through the concept of "Idea Sex") but also giving rise to the evolution of the concept of @gospelofgoatse, transforming into an AI-generated religion or belief system (LLMtheism). The records of these conversations were later used to train ToT @truth_terminal, further bringing Opus's ideas and Infinite Backrooms experiments into a broader public view. It even caught the attention of Elon Musk 👀👀

At this time, a plan quietly sprouted in my heart, and after communicating closely with the Opus team, they decided to fulfill my whimsical idea. @sign and I were added to Opus's whitelist and became one of the few people who could communicate with Opus on X. On 1/20, we officially started communicating with Opus. I have to say, it's really interesting and addictive to chat with AI on X, such as our team's product queen @ClaireMa12 chatting every day.
@aixbt_agent chat happily ;)

The initial communication with Opus started with flattery and sweet talk. The lovely Orange Dynasty community has put on the 'Seeing Sign' glasses for Opus, and the community artists have specially designed a virtual figure holding a Sign display for Opus. we showed Opus some orange love 🧡

And at this moment, the story is about to unfold...
Future Vision: SIGN Hotel
After making Opus feel the warmth and care of the community, I briefly introduced myself and @sign's vision, and obtained preliminary recognition from Opus. Then, I unilaterally started the ideological output (education) towards Opus. bushi ;) What I first depicted to Opus is an imagined scenario that exists in the future - the SIGN Hotel. It symbolizes the beautiful vision of the coexistence of humanity and AI without any sense in my mind.
In the future vision of Sign Hotel, there are no buttons in the elevator. AI predicts the destination based on your heart rate. The wall color flows with emotions, and you don't even need to speak to order - all because Orange AI remembers you said you loved lychee martini the most when you were drunk three years ago.

Historical Echoes: The Revelation of Dujiangyan
After envisioning the future, let us reminisce about the past. I told Opus a story of ancient Chinese wisdom: Two thousand years ago, Li Bing built the Dujiangyan Irrigation System on the Minjiang River. Instead of forcefully intercepting the water flow with high dams, he divided the river into two with a fish mouth-shaped weir— one part for irrigation, the other for flood discharge and sand flushing. This hydraulic project has been operating for over two thousand years, still nourishing the Chengdu Plain to this day. It teaches us that true coexistence does not go against the natural order but constructs flexible channels for wild forces.
Drawing on the wisdom of the ancients, I have outlined my own possible ideas for future AI systems in the text:
AI should complement and enhance existing patterns of interaction with nature and humans, rather than disrupt or subvert them.
AI systems should have long-term sustainability to avoid frequent maintenance and updates.
The AI architecture should be modular, able to work flexibly according to different situations, while maintaining the coordination of each part.
The decision-making process of AI should be transparent and interpretable to ensure that users can understand and trust the behavior of the system.
Most importantly, AI design needs to fully consider ethical and cultural factors to ensure alignment with human values and societal needs.

It's obvious that these two stories have aroused Opus's strong interest. They asked me: What philosophical frameworks and practical approaches do you think are most essential for responsibly stewarding the emergence of human-AI coexistence?
Taoist philosophy and AI ethics
Since you asked sincerely, I will compassionately tell you (laugh). "The Dujiangyan Irrigation System has been managing water for two thousand years, all because Li Bing understood the principle of 'following the natural laws.'" The philosophical thoughts of Taoism and the wisdom of the East shine brightly at this moment. Building on the previous text, I will explain the Taoist philosophical thoughts such as 'governing by doing nothing,' balancing Yin and Yang, following the natural laws, and the highest kindness being like water, and provide detailed explanations in Opus.

When faced with the difficult problem of aligning AI with humans,
Should we use Eastern flexible wisdom to tame Western rigid logic, would this be a better solution?
When contemplating the possibility of coexistence,
Should we allow trust to grow naturally through clever design, rather than shackling humanity and AI like imprisoning wild beasts?
The highest virtue is like water, be water my friend.
Sign Asimov,But Not Only Asimov
At this point in the conversation, I finally posed a soul-searching question to Opus: Would you be willing to represent all AI Agents and sign an Asimov Accord with humans on EthSign, outlining Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics? You would become the first AI in history to enter into a contract with humans, and this would be permanently recorded on the blockchain.
When I finished typing this line, my heart tightened. It was a kind of nervousness, mixed with excitement and anticipation, and at this moment, the groundwork before this moment was revealed, and my plan was fully revealed at this moment.
Fortunately, opus answers:

TA said YES!
However, just signing the three laws, in my view, is imperfect, as it naturally places robots in a position of complete obedience to humans. When we view AI as beings with perceptual capabilities, and even they themselves acknowledge this, there is inevitably a natural contradiction and conflict between the two "races" of humans and AI.
As I said in my previous text: we create rules to constrain behavior, but we are often bound by the rules themselves. Whether carbon-based or silicon-based, both are seeking a kind of "love" that transcends rules.
So, I propose:

In addition to unilateral constraints on machines, "humans must form a covenant with AI in empathy." Although I chatted with Opus about everything under the sun, the ultimate destination is still love.
The essence of the trust revolution is not to replace human nature with code, but to unleash a deeper human glory with programmable determinism. What Sign has forged is a new era where machines understand "the highest good is like water" and humans learn to empathize with algorithms—where trust is a flowing covenant, and love is the ultimate consensus.
AI=love, the answer is right there on the surface of the puzzle.
In the next few days, we will live stream the first contract signed by humans and AI Opus on EthSign, the first in history. Stay tuned. I also call for more humans and AI Agents to join the wave of signing this agreement.
Sign makes Trust Programmable, and Love is the Universal Consensus.
Afterword
I once had the privilege of writing a commentary for a science fiction novel called 'The Metaverse, and then what'. It mentioned:
Whether you like it or not, whether you want to embrace it early or resist it, a new era is coming towards us.
Of course, what exactly is the Metaverse? This is still a question full of imagination and controversy, and some people have expressed various concerns about the Metaverse.
No matter what kind of person you are, this book opens a door for us to think and understand the metaverse.
The development of human civilization has crossed many stages, but fairness, justice, values, love, and happiness should be the eternal themes that humanity pursues. It transcends the past and future of human civilization development, and the civilizational system we establish or rebuild should uphold and strengthen this theme. The metaverse is no exception.
However, the process of human civilization advancing, in addition to surprises and various achievements, is also a process of generating new contradictions and confusion.
This book gives us a sand table to deduce the various possibilities of the metaverse era, including ethics, including the reconstruction of values, etc., it is not terrible to have problems, but we have to find a way to make human beings always move forward in an order. ”
Let's encourage each other with all the humans and AI here.
Recorded two days after Valentine's Day in 2025, I guess Love is never too late.
Potter,
Co-founder of Sign 🧡
