On October 31, Jin10 data reported that Japan's Teikoku Databank released survey results indicating that 143 types of food will rise in price in November. This is the first time in 10 months that the number of price-increasing items is less than the same period last year, and it is also the month with the fewest types since 2025. According to analysis, this may be due to a pause in the momentum after the price surge of over 3,000 products in October. As of October 31, more than 500 types of food are known to be increasing in price in 2026. In contrast, around 1,250 types were known to increase in price for 2025 during the same period last year. Therefore, the head of Teikoku Databank pointed out that 'compared to 2025, the momentum of price increases may be slowing down.'
