According to Wu, after the release of the Babylon token airdrop, 256 BTC have been redeemed (unstaked) from Babylon in the past 24 hours, with redemption transactions paying a total fee of 1.35 BTC and consuming 1.318 MvB of block space. Mononaut believes that the high fees for redemption transactions may be due to the large size of the unstaking scripts and, for some reason, the protocol locked a fixed fee rate chosen months ago, possibly for pre-signed transactions.
