Filecoin Onchain Cloud: Application Case Analysis and Launch of CloudPaws Early Contributor Limited Edition NFT Program

robot
Abstract generation in progress

Filecoin officially launched Filecoin Onchain Cloud (FOC), a verifiable, programmable, developer-led on-chain cloud infrastructure composed of modular core capabilities from the Filecoin ecosystem. This framework is designed to support the long-term development of AI, autonomous agents, data-intensive applications, and Web3 projects, achieving unification and standardization of data storage, retrieval, payment, and persistence on-chain.

The official announcement states that FOC is currently running on the testnet and includes five core modules that are already online: Warm Storage Service, Filecoin Pay, Filecoin Beam, Filecoin Pin, and Synapse SDK. These modules together form a cloud infrastructure layer that is transparently verifiable, long-term available, and supports combinable development.

At the same time, multiple ecological projects such as ENS, KYVE, Akave, Storacha, ERC-8004/AI Agent community, and CodeX have taken the lead in integration and testing, providing verifiable practical samples for the application scenarios of FOC.

  1. The goal of FOC: to build a verifiable, developer-led on-chain cloud layer.

According to the official information released by Filecoin, the design purpose of Filecoin Onchain Cloud is to achieve Verifiable, Developer-Owned infrastructure logic, allowing the storage, retrieval, and usage of data to be publicly verifiable.

FOC consists of five core modules (all available on the testnet):

Warm Storage Service: Provides verifiable assurance of data availability and storage.

Filecoin Pay: Settlement for storage and retrieval service

Filecoin Beam: support for verifiable content retrieval

Filecoin Pin: Achieving decentralized persistence of content

Synapse SDK: Provides developers with a unified access interface.

After integrating these modules, they provide a trustless and publicly auditable on-chain data infrastructure for various applications.

  1. The early integration of ecological partners has verified the diversified application scenarios of FOC.

The official announcement listed the first batch of ecological projects that have been integrated or are in the process of integrating FOC. They provide concrete examples of the product's practical applications in various fields:

ENS (Ethereum Name Service): adopts FOC in the persistence of key data such as domain name resolution.

KYVE: A verifiable archiving solution for blockchain historical data and content.

Akave: support for document and knowledge content storage for AI applications

Storacha: Using FOC to handle large-scale file and content distribution

ERC-8004 / Agent Community: Store action records, model inputs, and long-term states for AI agents

CodeX: Storing model weights and knowledge materials in a verifiable on-chain system

These collaboration cases indicate that FOC is feasible in multiple technical directions, including: AI data layer, Agent infrastructure, Web3 protocol storage, content backup and retrieval, etc.

  1. Targeting different participants: The future possibilities brought by FOC.

  2. Join the FOC Builders: The CloudPaws Early Contributor NFT is officially launched.

CloudPaws is the first commemorative and participatory early contributor NFT series in the Filecoin Onchain Cloud (FOC) ecosystem, initiated in collaboration between the Filecoin Onchain Cloud team and members of the Filecoin Foundation ecosystem.

The original intention behind the design of CloudPaws is very clear:

Leave a verifiable on-chain mark for everyone who contributed, tested, integrated, and participated in the ecological construction of FOC in the early stages.

If you are:

Developers (trying out Synapse SDK, building applications based on FOC)

SP / RSP (participating in the testing of Warm Storage and Beam)

AI / Agent Team (Testing Verifiable Retrieval and Persistence)

Web3 protocol project (integrating FOC's Pin / Retrieval / Pay modules)

Infrastructure Partner

ecological researchers, community contributors

Then you will have the opportunity to become an early holder of CloudPaws.

The significance of CloudPaws is not in “an NFT itself”, but in:

You are one of the earliest participants in FOC.

Your contribution will be permanently recorded on-chain.

You are a witness and early shaper of this on-chain cloud infrastructure.

Future ecological activities, whitelists, and developer trial programs will be prioritized for CloudPaws holders.

If you wish to participate more deeply in the testing, contribution, or integration of FOC, CloudPaws will become your first official link to the FOC ecosystem. The official mint will begin in December 2025, stay tuned.

About time nodes

The official announcement clearly states:

The Filecoin on-chain cloud module is currently available for use on the testnet.

The official description states that the mainnet is expected to be released around Q1 2026.

The CloudPaws series NFTs will begin minting in December 2025.
