## Gaming: The Catalyst for Web3’s Revival and Path to Mass Adoption amid Integration Challenges
The blockchain gaming evolution has been a vital aspect of the progress of web3 and virtual economies like metaverses. However, without relevant innovations web3 gaming adoption may be constrained by existing challenges such as the absence of protocol interoperability and scalability issues. 

Also, the lack of seamless integration of on-chain elements may continue to hinder gaming mass adoption. Therefore, the best way to develop the blockchain gaming sector is to overcome [web3 integration challenges](https://www.gate.io/web3 "web3 integration challenges"). 

For now, let’s look at what blockchain based gaming projects need to do to improve the overall performance of the sector as well as to increase player engagement and satisfaction. 

**Overcoming technical challenges**: One blockchain gaming catalyst is the absence of scalability challenges. A gaming protocol with scalability problems is usually slow with high transaction fees.
