The data from Golden Ten on January 14th announced that the total number of containers reached 16.13 million TEUs in December 2024, an increase of 4% compared to the previous year. Among them, the mainland ports achieved 12.512 million TEUs, an increase of 3.8% compared to the previous year; the ports in Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan reached 572,000 TEUs, an increase of 19.7% compared to the previous year; and the overseas ports reached 3.046 million TEUs, an increase of 2.1% compared to the previous year. In addition, the total volume of general cargo reached 112 million tons, an increase of 14% compared to the previous year, of which the mainland ports reached 112 million tons, an increase of 14.1% compared to the previous year.
