Golden Finance reports that on April 26th, Litecoin (LTC) disclosed on the X platform that a recent zero-day vulnerability had caused a DoS attack, affecting major mining pools. Mining nodes that had not been updated allowed an invalid MWEB (MimbleWimble Extension Block) transaction to be executed, enabling the related tokens to be withdrawn to third-party DEXs. The Litecoin network rolled back these invalid transactions through a reorganization (reorg) of 13 blocks, confirming they would not be included in the main chain. All valid transactions during this period remained unaffected. The vulnerability has now been fully fixed, and the network operation has returned to normal.
