After U.S. Eastern Time Thursday after-hours trading, Intel CEO Chen Liwu said during the earnings call that in an era of unprecedented opportunities for the semiconductor industry, Intel processors are the core assets for enterprises to achieve success and thrive. Driven by explosive growth in demand for artificial intelligence, the semiconductor industry’s overall potential market size has already neared 1 trillion U.S. dollars. Intel is seizing this demand opportunity with three core strategic assets: its x86 central processing unit product line, advanced packaging technology, and its vast manufacturing network. Artificial intelligence is moving into the real world, extending to distributed inference and reinforcement learning workloads, such as intelligent agents, embodied AI, robots, and edge AI.
