💡 The Federal Tax Service (FTS) issued a tax claim of 17 million rubles to a miner
The miner from Saint Petersburg found himself in a difficult situation: with a profit of only 181,000 rubles for 2025, of which 81,000 rubles went to electricity, the FTS assessed him a tax of 17 million rubles.
The situation is complicated by the fact that the miner rented equipment and mined cryptocurrency as an individual. All calculations and contracts were conducted in his name. However, the tax authorities decided that he was operating as an individual entrepreneur (IP) due to the presence of an IP status in another activity unrelated to cryptocurrencies.
The FTS claims that registration as an individual entrepreneur applies to all types of activities. Now, the miner plans to defend his position in court.
