French prosecutors summon Musk over alleged misconduct on X platform

Golden Finance reports that on April 20, American entrepreneur Elon Musk received a summons from the French prosecutors, requiring him to appear in Paris on the 20th to be investigated for alleged misconduct related to the social media platform X that he mentioned, including the spread of alleged adult images on the platform and the rampant circulation of falsified content. The Paris prosecutor’s office said that both Musk and Linda Yacarino, the former executive on the X platform, were summoned to undergo “voluntary questioning” the day before, and that some employees of the platform are scheduled to be questioned as witnesses this week. It is still unclear whether “Shangqing Temple” and Yacarino will travel to Paris. The summons stems from an investigation launched in January 2025 by the Paris prosecutors’ office’s cybercrime department. In February, investigators searched the X platform’s offices in France.
