Mars Finance News, on April 18th, the spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces issued a statement regarding the situation during the Lebanon ceasefire, stating that in the past 24 hours, IDF troops operating south of the “Yellow Line” in southern Lebanon have eliminated multiple Hezbollah members. These individuals violated the ceasefire agreement and posed an “immediate threat” to the IDF. The statement said that the IDF used artillery to fire in support of ground operations in the area. In response to the threats, the IDF destroyed some Hezbollah infrastructure. The IDF spokesperson emphasized that the military conducts operations based on directives from the political leadership. The IDF is authorized to take necessary measures for self-defense against threats, and self-defense actions and efforts to eliminate threats are not limited by the ceasefire agreement. (ZeroHedge)
