Been testing different IPTV setups lately and honestly, finding the best IPTV device really depends on what you're actually using it for. Started with a Fire TV Stick 4K because it's cheap and easy, works fine if you don't mind occasional buffering. But then I grabbed a Shield TV Pro and the difference is night and day—way smoother streaming, handles 4K without breaking a sweat, and the ethernet port makes a huge difference if you're serious about this.
If you're already deep in the Apple ecosystem, the Apple TV 4K is solid too. Seamless integration with your other devices and the interface just feels snappier. For people just getting started though, honestly the Fire TV line is still the best IPTV device bang for buck unless you're a power user.
Android TV boxes are hit or miss depending on the brand. I've had cheap ones completely lag out, but some of the better ones with 4GB+ RAM actually perform decently. Just make sure you get one with an ethernet port if possible—Wi-Fi streaming can be unreliable.
Smart TVs have built-in apps but they're often limited. Ended up using an external device with my TV anyway because the native apps were missing stuff or just didn't work well.
Real talk: if you're looking for the best IPTV device without spending too much, Fire TV Stick 4K is the play. Want premium performance? Shield TV Pro. Apple user? Go TV 4K. Ethernet connection is honestly underrated for stability though—that's probably the biggest factor I've noticed.
