Golden Finance reported that on April 8, the Iranian Supreme National Security Council issued a statement in the early hours of April 8 local time, stating that, based on the Supreme Leader’s recommendations and with approval from the Supreme National Security Council, Iran has accepted the ceasefire proposal put forward by Pakistan. The statement said that in this war, almost all of Iran’s targets had been achieved; the enemy “suffered a historic and complete defeat.” Iran will “continue the struggle until the great achievements it has gained are consolidated, and until a new security and political landscape is established in the region,” and it decided to hold negotiations in Islamabad to determine the details, “consolidating the victory outcomes through political negotiations within no more than 15 days.” The statement also said that Iran rejected all plans proposed by the other side and formulated a ten-point plan, submitted via Pakistan to the U.S. side. The plan emphasized several key points:
Coordinate with Iran’s armed forces to control passage through the Strait of Hormuz; end the war against all members of the “Axis of Resistance” and put an end to the aggression of the Israeli regime; withdraw all bases and deployment points of U.S. combat forces from the region; establish a secure transit protocol in the Strait of Hormuz to ensure Iran enjoys a dominant position; fully compensate Iran for its losses based on assessment results; lift all Level 1 and Level 2 sanctions and those related to relevant U.N. Security Council resolutions; release all Iranian assets and property frozen overseas; and finally, all these matters should be approved in binding U.N. Security Council resolutions. (CCTV)
