TD Securities: The recent rally in the US dollar is unlikely to continue, and it may weaken by the end of the year

Mars Finance news, according to Jintou, in a report, TD Securities strategist said that due to energy price shocks triggered by the Iran war, the sustainability of the dollar’s recent rise may be more limited than in 2022. They noted that when the Russia-Ukraine conflict in 2022 pushed up oil prices, the dollar’s uptrend was slower and steady, but it kept strengthening even after oil prices fell. TD Securities expects that if inflation cools, the Federal Reserve will consider resuming rate cuts in the third quarter of 2026, and it expects the dollar to weaken by the end of the year.
