BlackRock: Middle East conflict will push up U.S. March inflation

Golden Finance reports, on April 7, that BlackRock strategists said in a report that the effects of high energy prices are likely to show up in the U.S. March CPI data to be released on Friday. Economists surveyed by The Wall Street Journal generally expect that the U.S. March CPI, year over year, not seasonally adjusted, will rise from 2.4% in February to 3.3%. The strategist said that the Middle East war has caused supply chain bottlenecks and is expected to drive inflation higher.
