In April 2010, on a Bitcoin forum, there was a user who auctioned and sold 10,000 BTC on the forum, with a starting bid of $50, but not a single person placed a bid.

The only condition was that each bid had to be at least $1 higher than the previous one, and in the end the auction received no bids and was unable to sell.
Only a short month later, the famous Bitcoin pizza 🍕 event happened.
