Golden Finance reports that on April 4, the Central Broadcaster’s correspondent learned locally on April 3 that U.S. officials said an Iranian drone attack launched in March against the U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia caused damage more severe than previously disclosed, indicating that Iran has the capability to strike U.S. assets in Saudi Arabia. It is understood that the attack occurred on March 3, when an Iranian drone evaded Saudi Arabia’s air defense system around the Saudi capital, Riyadh, and crashed into the U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia. One minute later, a second drone flew through the gap created by the first drone’s impact and exploded. U.S. officials said the attack hit a secured area of the embassy and caused severe damage to multiple floors of the embassy. The CIA’s local station was also included in the local area where the attack took place. On March 3, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense said that, according to an initial assessment, the U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia was attacked by two drones that day, triggering a localized fire and causing slight damage to the embassy building.
